Do you ever ask yourself, what is it I don't need? Stuff clutter lives, closets and drain moms of money and resources they can use to feel secure. If you are like me, you've been conditioned to think about stuff in terms of what you want, never asking what is it I don't want or need in my life. Recently, I had a chance to talk to another blogger about her methods of creating abundance and savings in her life. She recommended creating an "I don't need list." Here's some on her list:
1. I don't need a closet full of clothing I have not worn in 2 years, some with the tags still on! If you haven't worn it in two years, donate it or sell it. My blogger friend says if you have more than 25 pieces in your closet, you need to clear out your clutter.
2. I don't need a gym membership I don't use. If you only occasionally use your membership, is it something you need? Park 2 blocks away from where you want to go 3x a week and save the membership fee.
3. I don't need a second phone line, if all I use is my cell phone.
4. I don't need name brand disposables like tissues, and other paper products.
Complete your own I don't need list. You may be surprised as to what you can eliminate from your clutter and how much in savings may be hidden in your "don't need" list. When you come up with your list, if it adds up to $50/ month or more, start making an automatic deposit into a savings account.
